Dr Amanda Scott
Paediatric Endocrinologist
Dr Scott is a consultant medical specialist in paediatric endocrinology.
Trained in all aspects of endocrinology, Dr Scott has particular interest and expertise in:
Type 1 diabetes
Growth issues
Delayed or precocious puberty
Polycystic ovarian syndrome
Dr Scott is a true Maroon: Queensland born, bred and educated. She grew up in regional Queensland and understands the challenge rural families face accessing specialist medical appointments. She holds monthly outreach clinics in Toowoomba for south-west Queensland patients.
Dr Scott is a graduate of the University of Queensland.
Name a place in the world that took your breath away and why?
I couldn’t get over the age and vastness of the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, China. To think of the work that had gone into creating that statue army for the protection of the Emperor in his afterlife: phenomenal!
