Dr Diane Jensen
Paediatric Endocrinologist, Brisbane
Dr Jensen is a consultant medical specialist in paediatric endocrinology.
She completed her medical school at the University of Queensland in 2001 and her specialist
training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane before undertaking a clinical fellowship
in Vancouver, Canada at the British Columbia Children’s Hospital. She became a Fellow of
the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2011.
She looks after children with a range of endocrine problems including:
Type 1 diabetes
Growth disorders
Congenital adrenal hyperplasia
Thyroid disorders
Disorders of sexual differentiation
Dr Jensen has a particular interest in the management of osteoporosis in children, disorders
of puberty and the use of technology to improve care of children with type 1 diabetes.
She completed her PhD in 2016 investigating the management of adolescent obesity.
Dr Jensen continues to participate in clinical research involving patients with Type 1 diabetes,
Prader Willi Syndrome and Osteogenesis Imperfecta.
Dr Jensen enjoys spending time with family and looks forward to a return to international
travel.
